DoggiePops - Dog and Human Safe Treat

The dog days of summer are here! All of the summer activities are in full swing, and as we sat outside eating our popsicles our two dogs Traci and Rinzen were looking at us like, "you seriously are not going to give me a bite are you?" And with that look came the response, "no because these are not good for you" and oh did those sad puppy eyes appear. After that look, my thoughts went into high gear trying to figure out a "doggiepop" they could have or something we could all enjoy as a family. As I was searching the internet looking for recipes (not finding what I was looking for), out of no where, my sister came to the rescue and sent me a recipe! Like they say great minds think alike! With a couple of changes, I came up with this very easy recipe that your human and pet kid(s) can help with and EAT!

Here are the Pet Pals DoggiePops we made in the Pet Pals kitchen:

What you will need:

First Step

 1. Dog(s) to taste test (this is Rinzen on the left and Traci)
2. Bananas (we used one banana)
3. 16 ounces of yogurt (we chose gluten free organic yogurt)
4. 1/2 cup of peanut butter (we chose all natural peanut butter)

Next Step:
Mix all ingredients together in a blender and mix until mixture is smooth (not creamy)

  Next Step:
Locate Popsicle mold

Pour mixture into molds

If you do not have molds and put the caps on. You can also use small plastic containers with popsicle sticks. We put tin foil over the top to help hold up the stick in place while it is in the freezing process.

Or if you want to use ice cube trays, that is an option as well. We made some with and with out sticks!

 Next Step:
Let your human and pet kid(s) taste test.

 If approved -

Final Step:
Place them in the freezer for about 2 or so hours and then ENJOY!!!!
